John, one of the principals of our firm, has devoted his entire career to sales. He started as a driver's assistant on an appliance delivery truck for a large Midwest department store and in a short time rose to the position of buyer in a prominent San Francisco store. John has owned a group of retail stores as well as a toy manufacturing company, and he has been involved in selling everything from furniture to sewing notions and from bed sheets to ladies' coats. For a short time John also brought in truckloads of antiques from the Midwest to his home in Northern California, where he sold them for well more than he paid for them. While John is comparatively new to managing estate sales, he is more than familiar with the intricacies of promotion and profitable selling.
